Where creativity and design meet utility and function

In 1986, Jim Duncan founded HarborFront Interiors on the shores of Lake Michigan.  He began in his garage and grew the business to the success it is today and HFI continues  those core values upon which Jim has built his business.

These value propositions are:

~ Superior Customer Service

~ Creative Talent and Skills

~ On-time Delivery

~ Quality People and Products

Since the early 1800’s, West Michigan has been known as the epicenter for furniture craftsmanship, innovation, and design.  That heritage is still alive today and HFI  is honored to belong to that group who possess the talent, pride, and heritage of those great furniture craftsmen.

Meet the HFI office staff:

David Rikkers (CEO)   Mary Kaiser (Admin)   Anette Buchholz (CAD Design)   Mike Soto (CAD Design)   Ashley Borgeson (Order-Entry)

Why HarborFront Interiors?

Innovation, creativity, and superior products are what drive HFI’s success.  We set ourselves apart from others with our CUSTOMER SERVICE.  That term is often used and has become almost cliché, but we know that we are all about our customers and always work hard for them.

Building business relationships with our customers and valuing our customers on a long term basis is the main reason we are able to have their loyalty.  Think about the reasons you go to certain restaurants…it is not only because they have good food, it is also the friendly bond you form with those serving you that makes you want to go back again and again.  We have highly trained and personable employees who are willing to put the customer’s needs and problems on their shoulders, and take the “Whatever” we can do for you, customer service approach.

Our products will not be the cheapest nor the most expensive, but we produce high-quality, well-built furniture, and work hand-in-hand with our clients throughout the process.  We focus on managing our business as efficiently as possible to continually improve the quality of our service and to invest in growth.  We uphold the highest standard of integrity in all of our actions.

“We have used HarborFront for over 25 years and we couldn’t be happier with their business.  Not only do they sell high-quality products, but their service is timely and they have competitive pricing.  Furthermore, the staff members are personable and always willing to help.  We will continue to use HFI for all of our millwork needs.”

“I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to HarborFront Interiors and especially designer Anette.  When we decided to do a complete remodel of our restaurant dining room, I really needed good advice.  Anette was amazing.  She kept within my budget and had the creative ideas we needed.  Everything flowed very smoothly.  Anette was very professional and always returned my calls or texts in a timely manner.  My husband and I were so please with the results!”

“Anette at HarborFront designed a beautiful arc-shaped reception counter for my client, an area Chamber of Commerce office.  This counter perfectly demonstrated Anette’s understanding of my project design concept and resulted in a piece that is the perfect combination of functionality, style, and beauty.  I have total confidence in the fact that any casework that HFI and Anette design will be a perfect fit for my design project.”
